BRASCON 2016 Dumit thumbUSTUR/College of Pharmacy PhD student, Sara Dumit, gave three presentations in March.

The first was a seminar presentation given to College of Pharmacy faculty and students as a part of the college’s graduate research seminar class. Ms. Dumit summarized her work to fit urine and lung data from USTUR case 0785 using ICRP’s biokinetic models.

The second presentation was a poster presented at the Brazilian Graduate Students Conference (BRASCON) at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. Ms. Dumit helped to organize the BRASCON meeting in her role as a recruiting coordinator. Ms. Dumit’s BRASCON poster was subsequently presented at WSU’s Graduate & Professional Student Association (GPSA) Research Exposition in Pullman, WA.

Ms. Dumit has been studying at the USTUR since November 2015. The next step in her research will be the development of a plutonium decorporation model.
