Columbia Chapter of the Health Physics Society, Richland, WA, January 26, 2017

USTUR/COP PhD candidate, Sara Dumit, presented the preliminary findings of her research at the January meeting of the Columbia Chapter of the Health Physics Society (CCHPS). Ms. Dumit is developing a decorporation model to describe the biokinetics of DTPA in the human body. The model will be able to simultaneously fit both the baseline rate of plutonium excretion via the urinary pathway and the enhanced excretion rate that is observed following chelation therapy.
