This talk provides an overview of the history, operation, research and scientific collaborations at the United States Transuranium and Uranium Registries (USTUR) and the associated National Human Radiobiology Tissue Repository (NHRTR). The USTUR is a federal-grant-funded research program studying biokinetics (deposition, distribution, retention, and clearance) and tissue dosimetry in the human body by long-term follow-up of former nuclear workers with accidental internal depositions of uranium and transuranic elements.
