2010 Scientific Advisory Committee Meeting

Due to funding limitations, the 2010 annual USTUR Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting was conducted via teleconference on July 28, 2010.
The morning session opened with remarks from the USTUR director, Anthony James, and the DOE program manager, Joey Zhou. These were followed by faculty presentations on operational and research aspects of the Registries’ work during the previous year. The morning session concluded with a summary of the incoming director, Sergei Tolmachev’s, vision for the next five-year renewal grant proposal (FY2011-15).
After lunch, the SAC conducted an executive session, where it discussed the morning’s presentations. The SAC summarized their executive session as a series of eleven recommendations, which they provided to Registries staff during the SAC debriefing.
